Brazilian label started in the 1970s.

Top Tape was created in the 70's for the multimedia market. In the recording industry, it was responsible for recording and distributing important pop music labels, such as: Motown; and jazz, especially CTI, in the country. Its strand in the musical area was deactivated in 1989, and reactivated in 1994, bringing other musical genres, such as samba and funk.
In the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, for the home video sector, Top Tape distributed films, musicals and series; released VHS series and also distributed DVD titles between 2000 and 2002, when it went bankrupt.
